Realme Launches Buds Air8 In India With Dual Drivers, 55dB ANC And AI Tools: Check Price, Specs

realme has launched the realme Buds Air8 in India, adding a new option to its Buds Air lineup. The focus here is fairly clear: better audio hardware, stronger noise cancellation, and a few AI-led features layered on top.

Audio Setup And Codec Support

The Buds Air8 use a dual-driver setup, pairing an 11mm woofer with a 6mm tweeter. Realme is aiming for a more balanced sound profile rather than pushing bass alone. The earbuds support LHDC 5.0 for high-definition audio and are Hi-Res certified. Other features include spatial audio options and a low-latency mode rated at 45ms, mainly aimed at gaming and video playback.

Noise Cancellation And Call Performance

Active noise cancellation is rated at up to 55dB, which places the Buds Air8 toward the higher end of this segment on paper. For calls, the earbuds rely on a six-microphone setup with AI noise reduction to handle background sounds in everyday environments.

Design And Materials

Realme has taken a slightly different approach to design this time. The Buds Air8 feature an India-exclusive Nature-Touch Master Design, created in collaboration with industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The charging case uses a soft-touch, bio-based silicone material and a geometric layout with rounded edges. It’s a subtle shift away from the usual glossy plastic finishes.

Battery, Connectivity And Durability

With ANC turned off, the earbuds are rated for up to 14 hours of playback, while total battery life with the case goes up to 58 hours. A short 10-minute charge is claimed to deliver up to 11 hours of use. Bluetooth 5.4 handles connectivity, with support for LDAC, AAC, and SBC codecs. The earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, though the case does not.

The realme Buds Air8 are priced at ₹3,799 in India, with a launch offer price of ₹3,599. They go on sale starting January 16 through realme.com, Flipkart, Amazon India, and offline retail stores. Color options include Master Gold, Master Grey, and Master Purple.
