Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Pad 2 Pro in India: Check Price, Specs, Features

Xiaomi has expanded its India lineup with the launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G smartphone and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro series. Both devices are now official after weeks of teasers and are positioned in the mid-range phone and tablet segments.

Redmi Note 15 5G: what’s new

The Redmi Note 15 5G comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display offering FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi says the panel can reach up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, and the phone keeps a slim profile at just over 7.3mm.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and is available with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. For photography, the India model gets a 108MP primary rear camera, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. There’s also a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The phone runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 out of the box. Xiaomi has confirmed four Android version updates and six years of security patches. Other highlights include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint scanner, infrared sensor, and IP65 plus IP66 dust and splash resistance. The device packs a 5,520mAh silicon-carbon battery with 45W fast charging, and Xiaomi is including the charger in the box.

Redmi Pad 2 Pro: big screen and long update promise

Alongside the phone, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and Pad 2 Pro 5G tablets. Both feature a 12.1-inch LCD display with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports Dolby Vision, DC dimming, and carries multiple TÜV Rheinland eye-care certifications.

The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which replaces the older chipset used in the previous generation. It ships with Android 15 and HyperOS 2, and Xiaomi has committed to five years of OS updates and seven years of security updates.

Audio is handled by a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. The tablet houses a 12,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and also supports 27W wired reverse charging. Camera hardware includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

Xiaomi is also offering optional accessories, including the Redmi Smart Pen with 4,096 pressure levels and a keyboard case designed for productivity use.
