Xiaomi has now locked in February 28 as the launch date for its next flagship lineup in India. The Xiaomi 17 Series will debut at 6:30 PM IST, aligning with the company’s global launch event taking place in Barcelona alongside Mobile World Congress.

With the date confirmed and Amazon availability already live, here’s a clearer picture of what to expect from Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship push in India.

Xiaomi 17 Series India Launch Confirmed

Xiaomi had earlier announced its global launch plans, and it has now confirmed that India will be part of the same February 28 rollout. The timing matches the global unveiling, which will be livestreamed at 7:30 PM IST from Barcelona.

While Xiaomi hasn’t clarified whether India will get a dedicated livestream or a separate physical event, availability details are already in place. An Amazon India microsite has gone live, confirming that the Xiaomi 17 Series will be sold through the platform.

The microsite doesn’t reveal specifications but puts the spotlight on Xiaomi’s long-running partnership with Leica, which has now entered its fifth year. The page highlights the brand’s camera journey from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra through to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, setting the tone for what Xiaomi wants to emphasize with this launch.

Only Two Models Expected for India

Globally, Xiaomi is expected to showcase the full Xiaomi 17 lineup. For India, though, the focus appears to be narrower.

Current information suggests that only the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will launch in India. There’s no indication yet that Pro or Pro Max variants will be introduced locally, at least in the first phase.

In China, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes in two versions: a standard model and a Leica Edition. For India, only the standard variant has surfaced on the BIS certification website so far. That points to the Leica Edition possibly skipping the Indian market.

Xiaomi 17 Series Price in India

Based on previous reports, the Xiaomi 17 is expected to start below ₹80,000 in India. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra could land closer to ₹1,25,000.
