This comes after months of leaks and database sightings that hinted the X300 Ultra could be heading beyond China.

MWC 2026 Preview Confirmed

Vivo will use next week’s Mobile World Congress platform to present the X300 Ultra. While this is not yet framed as a full global launch event, the confirmation makes it clear the device is part of the company’s international conversation this year.

Earlier reports suggested the X300 Ultra had appeared in the GSMA IMEI database under the model number V2562, which typically signals preparation for international markets. If that rollout materialises, this would mark a shift for Vivo’s Ultra line, which has historically remained limited to China.

March Launch Timeline Tipped

A previous leak from tipster Digital Chat Station indicated that a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Ultra device could launch in March 2026. While the name was not explicitly mentioned, the timeline aligns with expectations around the Vivo X300 Ultra.

With MWC running from March 2 to March 5, Vivo’s confirmation of a showcase during that window adds weight to those earlier hints.

Camera Hardware Could Be The Headline Feature

If earlier leaks are accurate, the Vivo X300 Ultra may focus heavily on photography.

The device is rumored to feature two 200MP sensors, one serving as the main wide-angle camera and another dedicated to a periscope telephoto lens. Reports also mention a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP autofocus front camera.

The primary 200MP sensor is said to measure roughly 1/1.1-inch with a 35mm equivalent focal length, while the 200MP periscope lens reportedly delivers an 85mm equivalent. On paper, that combination would allow transitions between standard and zoom shots with minimal quality drop.

Vivo’s X-series has gradually built a reputation around camera performance, and the Ultra model appears positioned to push that further.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Power

Performance is expected to be handled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The phone is also tipped to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

Leaks further suggest a 6.8-inch 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

India Launch Timeline

The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to launch in India this time, and early reports have already hinted at a possible India price. You can read our detailed coverage for everything we know so far.
