Vivo X200T Spotted Ahead of Launch, Suggesting an India Launch Is on the Cards
Vivo seems to be in an interesting spot right now. The company’s getting ready for the big X300 series launch next month, but it turns out the X200 family isn’t done yet. A new device with the model number V2561 has quietly appeared in the GSMA IMEI database, and Smartprix was the first to spot it. All signs point to this being the Vivo X200T.

That alone suggests something bigger. Devices that show up in this database almost always end up in global markets, including India, so this isn’t just another China-only variant.
A T Model Usually Means One Thing
The “T” badge has always had a pretty clear reputation. Whenever Vivo uses it, the phone tends to lean toward speed and raw performance rather than high-end camera hardware. Past T-series phones have focused on strong processors, fast screens, and better cooling setups instead of top-tier optics.
That’s why the X200T is an interesting shift. The regular X200 lineup is heavily camera-first, complete with larger sensors and the usual Zeiss tuning. A T edition flips that idea by putting more weight on power and gaming, not photography.
What The T Could Actually Change
There’s no spec sheet yet, but the general direction is easy to guess. Vivo could go with the Dimensity 9400+ here.
Things like stronger cooling, a higher refresh-rate display, faster charging, or even a more accessible starting price could also be in the cards.
Global Launch Hints Are Already Here
The GSMA IMEI listing practically confirms one thing: international availability. Phones in this database almost always launch outside China, which means the X200T isn’t a limited experiment. It looks more like a meaningful piece of Vivo’s 2025 portfolio.
We now know the model number V2561 is real. The performance positioning is obvious. What’s missing is the launch window and how Vivo plans to slot this device between the X200 and the upcoming X300 lineup in India.
