The Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G is set to go on sale in India for the first time today. To recall, the POVA Curve 2 5G was unveiled in India last week as the slimmest smartphone with an 8,000 mAh battery. However, unlike its affordable predecessor, the POVA Curve 2 5G finds itself smackdab in India's mid-range segment.

The Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G price in India starts from Rs 27,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model and Rs 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB configuration. The Curve 2 5G is offered in Mystic Purple, Storm Titanium, and Melting Silver shades.

The Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G will go on sale in India at 12 pm (IST) today via Flipkart. As part of the launch, customers can get Rs 1500 instant cashback on all bank transactions and Rs 3000 cashback on 3 or 6 months no-cost EMI.

Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G Specifications

The Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G has a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 4,500 nits, which aims to improve outdoor visibility. Power comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage for apps and media.

Tecno adds a dedicated G1 signal-enhanced chip to help improve network stability, alongside an SE1 Wi-Fi enhanced chip for wireless connectivity. For durability, the POVA Curve 2 5G includes SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification, Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The rear camera system on the Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G features two sensors. There is a 50MP primary camera for general shots, supported by a 2MP depth sensor for portrait effects. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera handles video calls and social media photos.

The 8,000mAh battery is paired with 45W wired fast charging support, designed for long usage between charges. Tecno states that the POVA Curve 2 is the world's first phone to support 20 5G bands. This wide band coverage aims to help the phone work with different Indian 5G networks.

Software on the Tecno POVA Curve 2 5G is HiOS 16, which is based on Android 16. The phone also includes TECNO's Ella AI voice assistant, which supports multiple Indian languages to help with voice commands. The handset's dimensions are 162.68 x 77.15 x 7.42mm, and the weight is 195g.
