Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus Launched in India with Exynos 2600 Chip, One UI 8.5: Check Price, Specs

The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus were announced at Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked 2026 launch event, held in San Francisco, California. The next-generation Galaxy S series models ship with One UI 8, an upgraded Bixby as a conversational device agent, enhanced AI editing tools, Knox Matrix protection, and more. Let's take a look at their specifications, price, and availability in India.

Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus Design and Specifications

In terms of design, both the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are nearly identical in design, with the only noticeable difference being their screen sizes. Both have flat displays with a centered punch-hole camera and uniform bezels on all sides. The power and volume buttons are positioned on the right-hand side. At the rear, both smartphones house a triple-camera setup placed in the top-left corner.

In terms of features, the Galaxy S26 sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It's powered by the Exynos 2600 chip in India, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. For optics, the smartphone features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera offering a 120-degree field of view, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. It supports 4K video recording at 60fps and 8K recording at 30fps. On the front, there is a 12MP selfie camera that also supports 4K video recording at 60fps.

Moreover, the Galaxy S26 packs a 4,300mAh battery with 25W fast charging, which is an upgrade over the Galaxy S25's 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 16 OS with One UI 8.5 and is confirmed to get seven years of OS upgrades.

Both models upgrade the AI editing tools, introduce real-time features such as Now Brief and an enhanced Circle to Search, and deepen integration with AI agents like Bixby, Gemini, and Perplexity. Security remains a key focus for the Galaxy S26, with features such as Private Album and Knox Matrix protection. Lastly, it measures 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm and weighs 167 grams.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Plus shares the same camera, software and chipset as the standard model. However, it packs a larger 4,900mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging and wireless charging. The Plus model also offers a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and measures 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3mm and weighs around 190 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are now available for pre-booking in India, with an early delivery on March 6 (as per Samsung's official website). As part of a limited-period launch offer, the 512GB storage variant of both models can be purchased at the price of the base models.
