Realme Neo 8 Key Specifications Tipped Ahead of Launch in January 2026: Could Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC
Realme is gearing up to unveil its first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset soon. The Realme Neo 8 is expected to make its debut in China soon, where it will compete with the OnePlus Ace 6T, which recently made its global debut as the OnePlus 15R with some minor tweaks.

And just like the OnePlus Ace 6T, the Realme Neo 8 will also put a major emphasis on performance. Ahead of the launch, tipster Digital Chat Station recently revealed some key specifications of the upcoming Realme Neo 8.

According to the post on Weibo, the Realme Neo 8 will feature a massive single-cell 8000mAh silicon carbon battery, making one of the biggest batteries on a mainstream smartphone.
The tipster also notes that the Realme Neo 8 will offer complete water resistance, presumably in the form of an IP68+IP69 rating. Additionally, the Realme Neo 8 will come with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display. Moreover, it will also feature a premium build with a metal frame and a glass body.
The Realme Neo 8 is expected to sport a 1.5K flat AMOLED display from Samsung with a high refresh rate. The Realme Neo 8 will ship with Android 16-based Realme UI 7 out of the box. Other specifications of the device are under wraps, stay tuned to Gizbot for more information.

As mentioned before, the Realme Neo 8 will compete with the OnePlus Ace 6T in China. Additionally, it is also expected to take on the upcoming iQOO Z11 Turbo. While the Vivo S50 Pro Mini also uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, its focus on cameras rather than performance puts it out of the sights of the Realme Neo 8.
