Realme Launches 16 Pro Series With 7,000mAh Batteries and 144Hz Displays: Check Price, Specs, Features
Realme has expanded its premium mid-range lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+. The two phones sit above the standard Number series models and are aimed at users who want larger displays, long battery life, and camera hardware that goes beyond the basics.

Two displays, same refresh rate, different approach
Both phones feature AMOLED displays with a 144Hz refresh rate, but Realme is offering two different takes on design. The Realme 16 Pro comes with a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED panel, while the 16 Pro+ uses a slightly larger 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen.

Color depth is rated at 1.07 billion colors, with DCI-P3 support across modes. Brightness levels differ, though. The Pro tops out at 1,800 nits, while the Pro+ pushes much higher, going up to 6,500 nits. That gap alone helps separate the two models in day-to-day outdoor use.
Different chips, similar performance goals
Under the hood, the Realme 16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max, while the 16 Pro+ runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. Both chips are built on a 4nm process and are paired with LPDDR5x RAM.
Realme is offering up to 12GB of physical RAM on both phones, along with an additional 14GB of dynamic RAM support. Storage uses UFS 3.1, with the Pro going up to 256GB and the Pro+ offering a higher 512GB option.
Battery life is a shared highlight. Both phones pack a 7,000mAh battery and support 80W fast charging over USB Type-C, which should comfortably cover a full day and then some for most users.
Cameras are where the Pro+ pulls ahead
The camera setup is where the biggest difference shows up. The Realme 16 Pro uses a 200MP Samsung HP5 main camera with optical image stabilisation, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
The Realme 16 Pro+ builds on that by adding a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, alongside its own 200MP OIS main camera and 8MP ultra-wide lens. This makes the Pro+ the more flexible option for users who care about zoom photography.
Both phones share the same 50MP front camera, which supports 4K video recording.
Software, durability, and connectivity
The Realme 16 Pro series ships with Android 16 out of the box, running Realme UI 7. Realme has confirmed three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches for both models.
Other shared features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared remote control, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and wide 5G band support. Both phones are also rated IP66, IP68, and IP69 for dust and water resistance, which is still uncommon in this price bracket.
