OnePlus may still be several months away from launching its next flagship, but early leaks are already hinting at what the OnePlus 16 could bring.

The phone is expected to debut in China around October, and recent reports suggest the company could make notable changes to the camera system.

Leak Points To 200MP Camera Setup

A recent leak outlining the Oppo Find N6 camera specifications may also offer clues about the OnePlus 16.

The leak claims the Find N6 could feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). It may also include a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.7 aperture and OIS.

Earlier rumors suggested the OnePlus 16 could use the same imaging hardware expected for the Find N6. If that turns out to be accurate, the upcoming flagship may also include a 200-megapixel triple camera system.

While that doesn’t necessarily mean the phone will compete directly with Pro or Ultra-level camera flagships, it could still represent a meaningful upgrade compared with the previous generation.

Performance And Battery Rumors

Beyond the camera system, the OnePlus 16 is also rumored to bring hardware upgrades.

Reports suggest the phone could run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, which is expected to power several next-generation flagship devices.

Some reports suggest the display may support a 200Hz or 240Hz refresh rate.

On the software side, the phone is expected to run OxygenOS 17 based on Android 17.
