Nothing Phone 4a Will Adopt New Glyph Bar Interface and Snapdragon Chipset: Expected Price & Specifications

Nothing has begun teasing key features of the upcoming Nothing Phone (4a) series ahead of its March 5 launch in India. The latest teaser highlights a redesigned rear lighting system called the Glyph Bar, marking an evolution of the brand's signature Glyph Interface.

Nothing Phone 4a Series: What We Know So Far

According to Nothing, the Glyph Bar focuses on clearer visual cues with fewer distractions. It uses nine individually controllable mini-LEDs arranged into six square lighting zones, designed to deliver sharper notifications and status indicators. The company claims the new system is around 40 percent brighter than the previous (a) series, while offering a more natural glow with reduced light bleed.

Nothing Phone 4a Series New Glyph Interface and Snapdragon Chip Teased

Unlike earlier models that experimented with multiple segmented lights or the Glyph Matrix display, the Phone (4a) appears to refine the concept rather than expand it. Teasers suggest the lighting strip could be positioned closer to the phone's edge, possibly alongside a vertically aligned camera module, though final details are yet to be confirmed.

Apart from the new Glyph Bar, Nothing has also confirmed the use of a Snapdragon chipset on the Phone (4a) series. While there is no confirmation about the model of the chip, the Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro will likely use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC.

Nothing Phone 4a Series Launch and Expected Price in India

The Nothing Phone 4a line-up is launching in India on March 5 at 04:00 pm (IST). Following its launch, the Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro will go on sale in India through Flipkart and Nothing's new launched physical retail store in Bengaluru.

We expect the Nothing Phone 4a price in India to start from under Rs 35,000. Moreover, the Nothing Phone 4a Pro price in India could start from Rs 41,999 before offers.

Nothing Phone 4a Series Specifications

Rumours suggest the Nothing Phone 4a series will prioritise smoother mid-range upgrades instead of dramatic changes. Both the Nothing Phone 4a and Nothing Phone 4a Pro are expected to use flat OLED screens with 120Hz refresh rates and resolutions likely between Full HD+ and 1.5K.

Storage is tipped to move to faster UFS 3.1 technology. The phones are also said to feature an IP65 rating, helping protect against dust and light water splashes. The higher-end Nothing Phone 4a Pro could feature either a 5,100mAh or 5,200mAh battery. Fast charging support is rumoured at 50W wired speeds. Such figures would place the device among the more enduring mid-range smartphones, especially for users prioritising long screen-on time.

Camera hardware is expected to stay close to the Nothing Phone 3a family. That earlier series featured a triple rear system with a 50MP primary camera, 50MP telephoto camera, and 8MP ultrawide lens. Leaks indicate that both 4a models may retain this layout, with minor tuning on the Pro version. Stay tuned to Gizbot for all the latest updates surrounding the Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro.
