iQOO is gearing up to unveil its first smartphone to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip in India today. The iQOO 15R will debut as a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was released in China back in January, albeit with a few tweaks.

Apart from the Snapdragon chip, the iQOO 15R will feature performance optimizations to ensure segment-leading performance and a flagship gaming experience. Here's everything you need to know about the iQOO 15R.

iQOO 15R Launch & Price in India: What to Expect

The iQOO 15R is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following the launch, the iQOO 15R will go on sale in the country through Amazon. Those interested in watching the iQOO 15R event live can do so on iQOO India's official YouTube channel.

According to previous reports, the iQOO 15R price in India will start from Rs 45,999 for the base 8GB/256GB model. Moreover, the 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations will set you back Rs 47,999 and Rs 52,999, respectively.

iQOO 15R Specifications

The iQOO 15R will arrive as a performance-focused smartphone aimed at users who prioritise power, endurance, and gaming-ready hardware. It will feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor will be integrated beneath the screen, enabling fast and secure biometric unlocking while keeping the front design clean.

At the core, the iQOO 15R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This combination will deliver fast app loading, smooth multitasking, and sustained performance. The handset will also include a dedicated Q2 gaming chip, which will handle frame rate stabilisation, improve touch response, and enhance overall gaming efficiency during extended sessions.

On the software front, the iQOO 15R will run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top. iQOO will provide four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches, ensuring long-term software support and usability.

The smartphone will pack a large 7,600mAh battery, paired with 100W wired fast charging. This setup will offer long screen-on times along with quick top-ups, making it suitable for gaming, streaming, and frequent travel.

For photography, the iQOO 15R will feature a dual rear camera system, led by a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and supported by an 8MP ultrawide lens. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera will handle video calls and social media. The device will feature a metal frame with glass panels, weigh around 202 grams, use a USB Type-C 2.0 port, and will be offered in Dark Knight and Triumph Silver colour options.
