Google Pixel 10a Launched in India with Tensor G4 SoC, 7 Android Updates: Price, Specifications, Features

Google just dropped the fifth smartphone in its Pixel 10 series in India. The Pixel 10a is the latest entrant to the series, following last year's launch of the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While the Pixel 10a does succeed last year's Pixel 9a, it doesn't offer much in terms of upgrades.

Google Pixel 10a Price and Offers in India

The Google Pixel 10a price in India starts from Rs 49,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB model. The Pixel 10a will be up for pre-order in India starting today and will go on sale in the country from March 6. The Pixel 10a will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Google's Store, and through other leading retailers.

Launch offers on the Pixel 10a include a ₹3,000 cashback on select HDFC Bank cards, up to 24-month no-cost EMI options, and a ₹3,000 exchange bonus. The device is also available under the Google Pixel Upgrade Program, starting at ₹2,083 per month, offering zero-interest EMIs along with an assured buyback, making Pixel ownership and future upgrades more accessible in this price segment.

Google Pixel 10a Specifications

The Google Pixel 10a is powered by last generation's Tensor G4 chip paired with 8GB of LPPDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone comes with a 5,100mAh battery with 30W wired and 10W wireless charging support, although no adapter will be provided in the box.

The Pixel 10a runs stock Android 16 out of the box, with Google promising the same seven years of OS and security updates as the rest of the Pixel 10 series. Thanks to monthly Pixel Drops, users will enjoy fresh features and enhancements for their Pixel 10a well after their initial purchase, ensuring the phone gets even more intelligent and useful over time.

The display on the Google Pixel 10a remains a 6.3-inch Actua OLED panel. Peak brightness rises to 3,000 nits, compared with 2,700 nits on the Pixel 9a. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i replaces Gorilla Glass 3 and is claimed to survive 1m drops and offer better scratch resistance.

Google Pixel 10a cameras repeat the hardware from the earlier phone, with a 48MP main camera and 13MP ultra-wide unit. Instead of new sensors, Google relies on software such as Camera Coach, Auto Best Take and Add Me to improve photos. Pixelsnap support, however, is still missing from this a-series model.

Google Pixel 10a Design and Build

The Pixel 10a is offered in Lavender, Obsidian, Fog, and Berry color options. The Google Pixel 10a focuses on sustainability, using more recycled material than any earlier Pixel 'A' model.

Its aluminum frame uses 100% recycled metal, while the back is plastic with 81% recycled content. Google says at least 36% of the cobalt, copper, gold and tungsten inside is recycled by weight, and packaging is fully plastic-free.

Google also tweaks the internal layout of the Google Pixel 10a to make repairs easier. The phone keeps an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. On the outside, it looks similar to the Pixel 9a, with an almost flat camera bar that stands out among current raised camera modules.
