Samsung Galaxy Note 6 'Lite' in the making: Top 5 expected specifications
Samsung seems to be all set to break the norms by announcing a 'Lite' version of its upcoming flagship smartphone. Reports and rumors have suggested that Samsung is working on a Lite version of the Galaxy Note 6, which is quite rare for a premium flagship smartphone. This alternative handset is believed to be a slightly lower priced version with scaled down features and specifications, in order to appeal to those looking for a premium device but have restricted budget.
Knowing that Samsung's Galaxy Note series is its top of the line and priciest mobile phone, Samsung might have planned a 'Lite' version for catching the attention of those who look for inexpensive phablet. Moreover, considering that the company's rival, Apple recently came up with the iPhone SE, Samsung might want to have a cheaper version of its flagship to appeal masses.
HTC One M9 Prime comes with Android Lollipop! Seriously?
Here we have the top rumored specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Lite device that make it look promising and attractive:
A big-display with lower resolution:
As per the new info, the device be slightly lowered down in features, but the company has not compromised on size. It will boast a 5.8-inch display, but will full-HD (1080p) resolution rather than the quad-HD Super AMOLED panel that is expected on the higher end sibling.
The power of SD820:
The device may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which boasts power and impressive configuration. Whereas, the rumored standard versions of Galaxy Note 6 series are expected to pack in the yet to be announced Snapdragon 823 chipset. The presence of the Qualcomm's latest chipset, the SD820 on a Lite version will ensure smooth performance of the phone, however won't be able to match the potential of SD823, which is expected to have clock speeds of up to 3.0 GHz.
A massive 6GB to 8GB RAM:
If the rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy Note 6 will tout up to 6 or even 8 gigs of RAM. However, considering that the Lite version will have scaled down features, expect the Note 6 Lite to settle for 4GB RAM. But, the combination of SD820 and 4GB RAM sounds pretty interesting on a 'Lite' smartphone!
Similar Camera capabilities!
Considering that most of the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 Lite smartphone seem at par a standard Lite version, we expect that Samsung will not compromise on the camera specs of this smartphone and power it with camera optics similar to the Note 5! Rest will be known when the company announces the phone.
Announcement and pricing:
Well, what's really interesting is that on Weibo, the phone has apparently been described as the "low power version", which could mean that it will have scaled down specifications but won't cost much cheaper. Also possible is that the company might launch it as the new Note version to developing nations only. As far as its launch time is concerned, rumors have suggested a July/August announcement.
