Leeco LeMax 2 vs LeMax: 9 Reasons you should wait for the new Max!
LeEco created quite a buzz in the market for its Superphones, as it calls them, including the LeEco Le 1s and the LeEco LeMax within a short span of their launch in India. Following the success of its first set of feature-packed smartphones, the company unveiled three new devices, dubbed as Le 2, Le 2 Pro and Le Max 2, last month in China.
Speaking of the LeEco Le Max 2, the phone is the company's successor to the Le Max that was announced in February in India. The smartphone is company's premium offering, which packs in high end specifications and interesting set of features, and is placed at aggressively to compete against the like of Xiaomi Mi5.
Today we bring to you the list of 9 key specs and features of the Le Max 2 for you to know what new does this phone bring in comparison to its predecessor.
Metal beauty:
The LeMax 2 looks good with an all space-grade aluminum chassis and particularly great for those who want at a big screen device. The phone seems better, sleeker and premium than the LeMax.
Smaller but better display:
The key difference in the latest Max iteration and the original version is the display size. The LeMax 2 flaunts a 5.7-inch QHD display which is smaller than the 6.3-inch display on its predecessor. The display comes with 95% NTSC color gamut. The good part is that it brings the same resolution of QHD quality, this time packed in a smaller screen, meaning higher pixels per inch density. We expect that the 2K resolution with 2560x1440 pixels display will be a visual delight, reproduce colours well and offer good viewing angles, just like the LeMax.
Powerpacked performance:
This device comes with the latest Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 clocked at 2.15GHz along with Adreno 530 GPU where as the Max is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 octa-core processor. The all new Qualcomm chipset will be able to handle the toughest of the tasks with ease, to ensure smooth performance to its user!
Crazy 6GB RAM:
Did you ever think that 6GB RAM would be a reality on smartphones? Well, it is now! The LeMax 2 is the second smarthone to be released with 6GB of RAM, followed by Vivo XPlay 5 Elite that got launched last month. The company has announced two versions of the phone, including a 4GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage version and a 6GB RAM with 64GB internal memory variant.
A delight for Camera enthusiasts:
The Le Max 2 features a 21MP rear snapper, which is the same as the Le Max that adorn a 21MP Sony IMX214 Exmor RS CMOS sensor with 5344 x 4016 pixels resolution. The camera has autofocus, dual LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 6-element lens, and is capable of recording 4K Ultra HD videos with resolution of 2160p at 30fps. There is an 8MP front-facing camera to take care of your selfies.
Big Battery with quick charge:
Charge your device quickly! The hardware is powered by a 3100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology, which ensures that the smartphone's battery gets charged by up to a certain percentage within a few minutes.
Better connectivity and audio quality:
The company has upgraded these three mobile phones with new Continual Digital Lossless Audio (CDLA) audio standard for lossless audio through USB Type-C and lacks the 3.5mm audio jack.
Software:
LeEco LeMax 2 is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, wrapped under the company's own UI. Considering that the company has announced its content service in India, the phone will be launched with pre-loaded LeEco content services and apps powered by Hungama, Eros Now and Yupp TV in India. The LeMax was launched with Android Lollipop.

The 4GB RAM /32GB ROM variant of the Le Max 2 is priced at 2099 yuan (approx Rs. 21,500), where as the Le Max 2 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant is priced at 2499 yuan (approx Rs. 25,500), which is quite compelling.
